Corner Cottage was built in the 1880s and has been sympathetically restored and now offers exceedingly comfortable and surprisingly roomy accommodation. The cottage has all the benefits of modern amenities while retaining its “olde worlde” charm. But don’t just take our word for it, have a look at our gallery of pictures to see it for yourself.
You can remotely wander around and navigate the cottage exactly how you want to. Revisit a room and get the flow of Corner Cottage at your own leisure and gauge the layout of the cottage, with its king-size double en-suite and twin-bedrooms at the front, king-size double with an additional cot bed (140 x 70 cm mattress size) and twin-bedrooms and bathroom at the rear which allows separation of the occupants. We also provide a travel cot. This arrangement is particularly attractive to two generations or two families. In addition, downstairs a similar arrangement exists with the front lounge and children’s playroom/hall being separated by the rear hall and kitchen from the rear lounge/dining room – enabling guests to have their own space. Both rooms have Smart TV’s and SAT boxes plus a games box with games, DVD player and many films.
Update – In response to enquiries from potential guests who have someone they wish to bring on holiday but who can’t manage stairs we have had a single pull-down bed installed in one of the lounges in Corner Cottage and there is an adjacent downstairs cloakroom which features a toilet and sink.
Outside there is a secure high walled courtyard garden with a lockable gate together with very secure off street parking for two cars in our garage and carport. We live in the cottage on a very regular basis and as a consequence you will be holidaying in our home with all the home comforts that you would expect in a “home” but not usually in a “holiday let”, e.g. hair dryers, very modern fully equipped kitchen, baby equipment etc.

Excellent venue for Family celebration and base for walking group. Very well equipped, warm and cosy. lovely location. Thank you very much.
We had a very good holiday with all the family; our sons and their wives plus two grandchildren. The weather was perfect and the house beautifully equipped everything we needed. The grandchildren enjoyed the toys and the three-wheeled buggy proved very useful. Thank you very much for allowing us to stay in your Snettisham Cottage.
Our first visit to the Snettisham Cottage and Snettisham and we were impressed! The Cottage is very well equipped and our children thoroughly enjoyed the toys and the garden! Brancaster Beach is well worth a visit and the Rose and crown for good grub! Snettisham Park Farm is great for very little children – all in all a great holiday – Thank you!
OMG!! What a lovely cottage to have had our weeks hols in, so comfy with everything we could have wanted. Lots of places to walk the Chi Chis and the garden they loved it as well. So glad we will be back soon. Thank you lots XX.
Just returned from our week’s holiday at your cottage and wanted to let you know what a great time we had. You cottage is a fantastic place, really home from home and supplied everything we needed. My Dad really enjoyed his 80th birthday at the cottage as you will see from his comments in your Visitors Book! He’s even left you a present - four egg cups!
Many thanks for the use of your cottage. Coupled with the glorious weather and the location we have enjoyed our stay immensely.
Had a lovely holiday despite the weather. Been everywhere possible in our 2 weeks. Another fantastic holiday home* with everything possible to make our stay comfortable. Many thanks. Note From Bernard: * Paul and Family had previously stayed in our Florida Villa (when we had one).
What a lovely week, the cottage worked perfectly for us all. Plenty of room and a lovely garden & barbie to enjoy. Thank you. With such tricky times the house was so clean and made us feel very relaxed. We will be back! Thank you.
Barrie's 60th Birthday Bash! Ideal accommodation for 8 adults to celebrate a big birthday and see in the New Year!
Another very enjoyable stay, this time with lots of sunshine and only the odd shower. We re-visited all our old haunts – old Hunstanton, Holkham House and Sands, the lavender at Heacham – and also discovered Bircham Windmill, a great place for children and cake and fresh bread lovers! Nearby the farm shop at Great Bircham is under new management and sells good local produce. We hope to return next year.
Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home. We very much hope we will be able to use it again soon as we had such a lovely time.
Thank you for our holiday at Snettisham Cottage. We had a really good time and found the cottage very comfortable with everything we needed. P.S. Thanks for posting my Mother-in–Laws earrings on to us, they are her favourites!
We had a fantastic time here at the cottage, plenty of room and located well with the pubs and Co-Op and plenty of amenities in the cottage. Great walled garden to sit in drinking late and a great idea to have games and PS2 for the kids. We will come back!
I would like to express on behalf of all our party what a wonderful time we all had at Snettisham Cottage and how warm and comfortable we all were. A New Year break we will always remember! Thanking you once again.
Such an enjoyable visit yet again. We all love the cottage and feel so relaxed here and the cottage is so well equipped. We didn't get to the pub but can recommend it. For coffee we went to Briarfields in Titchwell and also Petals in Dersingham. Thanks so much much to Hazel and Bernard. We will be back! Note From Bernard: The Robson party are among our regular guests to whom we are very grateful.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage with us. A lovely family holiday, one that we shall always remember.
Had five days good walking, weather great for purpose; not hot, not cold, not wet, almost dry! We had dinner at the Yuit, Stoneham, an unusual venue.
Had two weeks of superb weather! Lovely place to visit - especially enjoyed the bird spectaculars at RSPB Snettisham Reserve - also at RSPB Titchwell Marsh Reserve. Good coastal walks and visits to National Trust Oxburgh Hall and Blickling Estate. A very well equipped and comfortable cottage. The food at the Rose and Crown is excellent and the Old Bank good too.
Thank you for your wonderfully equipped cottage. We will definitely be back.
Very well appointed home, all you could possibly need and more! Lovely village, a very good base for visiting other areas. Looking forward to coming back next year.
Enjoyed staying in your lovely cottage in great location, so close for getting to see Thursford Autumn Spectacular. Many thanks. Hope to come back next year!
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in your lovely cottage. Everything went according to plan - even the weather was more than kind to us. It just went too quick. Hope to rent your cottage sometime again in the not too far future.
Great place with lots of space for 3 generations. Great base for exploring Norfolk. Furniture and deco could do with an update to make this a perfect family getaway. Another very pleasant stay here. Birdwatching fantastic. Snettisham villagers very friendly. *Note from Bernard: Early in 2020, in response to our guest's comments, we have carried out a comprehensive update and improvement programme.*
We have had such a lovely family Christmas in your beautiful cottage. The cottage had everything we needed. We enjoyed watching the geese flying over every evening and got up at 6:30am and walked over the mud flats to see them take off on Christmas Eve. Thank you (Christmas Week 2008)
Spacious well-equipped comfortable cottage. Lovely village with plenty of amenities. Great Crab Salad at the Rose and Crown. Good beach at Snettisham. Don't miss King's Lynn and Quay Area. Cycled to Sandringham, lovely picnic area and scenic drive. local chippy makes great chips and a useful Co-op. See North Norfolk Railway from Holt to Sheringham. Also Norfolk Lavender harvest time - brilliant, Thanks
We had a fantastic stay at the cottage with our friends over a 10-day period. The cottage has everything you want to keep both old and young entertained which made our break enjoyable throughout. There is so much to do within a 20–30 minute drive. You are perfectly placed to experience all that Norfolk has to offer. We will be returning next year to make more memories xxx.
We had a most enjoyable week (weather quite good too!) and all agreed it is a most delightful cottage, so well equipped and in a lovely area. We used all the rooms except the children's bedroom as the youngsters moved the cot into their room after the first night. We were very warm and comfortable. Thanks again for everything.
Another lovely stay at Corner Cottage. Relaxation from the moment we stepped into the cottage. Another fantastic meal at the Rose and Crown. We will be back! Thanks Bernard & Hazel Note From Bernard: Another one of our 70% repeat bookings to whom we are grateful.
We had a lovely relaxing week at your cottage. The peaceful surroundings made it seem like we were stepping back in time, especially the Steam Train trip and the restored Railway Station which we all thoroughly enjoyed. The cottage is a “Tardis”, we had no idea it was so large, it seems to go on and on! Thank you for helping us to join the sailing club.
A stunning house in a beautiful location. We had the loveliest of times in North Norfolk, made that little bit more perfect by our stay in Corner Cottage. Thank you, Bernard & Hazel and your “care team”
Lovely Cottage. Everything you could possible want is in the cottage. Snettisham is a lovely village and you can see why people want live and visit here. The weather wasn’t the best but we found plenty to do. Dinosaur World is fantastic. Would love to come back soon.
A great place to celebrate New Year, we all had a wonderful time. Thank you.
Many thanks Bernard & Hazel for making us so welcome. We have enjoyed our week very much. The cottage is lovely, roomy and the best stocked accommodation we have ever stayed in. It is a real home from home and we felt comfortable the moment we entered. We hope to return again soon.
Awesome house and loved the board games cupboard. The house is in a gorgeous village, perfect location and is set up with all essentials and more. You have a gorgeous house!
Once again another very good week at the Cottage. Got in to look at the Church this time (key held at Post Office). Enjoyed home cooked meal at the Queen Victoria. P.S. Couldn’t find a dictionary! Note From Bernard: We challenge guests to identify any deficiencies in the cottage inventory as we believe we have equipped it as a home and not as a holiday let. There is a dictionary there now & a Thesaurus!
