The cottage was built in 1842 and has recently been completely refurbished. Externally in period character with leaded windows etc. Internally with a modern style and facilities; appliances and gas fired central heating etc. but with traditional features such as the reclaimed oak mantelpiece, traditional fireplace and wood burning stove.
The cottage is compact but offers adequate accommodation for 4. It has a lounge/diner/kitchen downstairs and two bedrooms, walk in wardrobes and a bathroom upstairs.
Outside there is a secure paved rear garden which catches the afternoon sun and a small shingle front garden. There is a garage to the side of the cottage and plenty of parking in the lay bye to the front of the cottage.
Just as in Corner Cottage we have equipped Dove Cottage with all the equipment and facilities that you would expect in a “home” rather than a holiday let e.g. fully equipped kitchen, baby equipment, travel cot, etc.
Open Plan Ground Floor
Front door into lounge. Attractively furnished with two sofas, TV, DVD, and stereo system. The lounge also features a log burner (with child protection) set in a traditional brick fireplace.
At the back of the lounge is the dining bar with modern swivel high stools. The kitchen features; washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave, hob and oven plus all the crockery, cutlery and small appliances you could want.
First Floor
Stairs to landing with two walk-in wardrobes.
Bedroom 1 - Front bedroom with double bed.
Bedroom 2 - Rear bedroom with twin beds.
Modern bathroom with bath, shower over, washbasin with shaver point and w.c.
Outside
Garden: At the rear of the property is an attractive enclosed courtyard offering complete privacy and security and catching the afternoon sun. Barbecue and garden furniture – table, chairs, parasol, sun loungers, and wood storage bunker (free wood provided). To the front of the property is a small shingle garden ideal for sitting with a drink and watching the World go by.
Parking: Garage and on-street (lay-bye to front of cottage)
Also included: Towels, bed linen, and duvets. Electricity, gas fired central heating and fuel for wood burning stove.
Pets: well-behaved pets welcome.
Notes: No smoking in the cottage please.
Arrival and Departure: We accept bookings Saturday to Saturday. Arrival is not before 4pm and departure by 10am please. This is to allow thorough cleaning to take place.
Short Breaks: Available from October to April inclusive excluding Bank Holiday Weeks and October Half Term. Short breaks can be completely flexible regarding start/finish days and duration according to availability (minimum 3 nights). Please ring or email us to discuss your requirements.
Additional Info: Also available May to September at short notice.
Prices

7 nights = Saturday to Saturday
Short Breaks = 3 nights minimum, any start day.
Rentals that overlap pricing periods will be charged 'pro rata' at the two different rates.
